Meet the Startup: IXON
IXON is a Hong Kong-based foodtech startup dedicated to bridging global food cultures through innovations in food preservation and aseptic packaging. As a participant in Next Kitchen 2026, they are excited to establish our presence in Japan, starting with the designated City of Gastronomy: Kobe.
Their core breakthrough is the proprietary ASAP (Advanced Sous-vide Aseptic Packaging) technology. This revolutionary process allows highly perishable items—such as premium meats, seafood, and gourmet ready-meals—to be stored at room temperature for up to two years without compromising flavor or nutritional value. Unlike traditional canning or retort methods, ASAP combines low-temperature sous-vide cooking with proprietary aseptic packaging to lock in the "fresh-cooked" texture and taste of artisanal cuisine.
Their Vision for Japan: By collaborating with food manufacturers, meat processors, and seafood providers in Kobe and the Hyogo Prefecture, IXON aims to transform high-quality Japanese products into shelf-stable goods. This eliminates the dependency on expensive cold-chain logistics, significantly reducing energy consumption and food waste.
In partnership with JETRO, the City of Kobe, and leading Japanese corporations, IXON is committed to scaling the reach of Japan’s culinary excellence. They provide a sustainable solution that brings the craft of Japanese chefs to the global stage, ensuring that "made-in-Japan" quality can be enjoyed anywhere in the world, anytime.
